Mr. Tayfun Cerrah has more than 35 years of experience in exploration and mining. Mr. Cerrah graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Geological Engineering  in February 1987. In the same year, he started working at Cominco Resources in Turkey. After serving as project geologist in several base metal and gold exploration projects, he was appointed to Cominco's Toronto office as senior project geologist in 1996 and worked on projects in North America. After returning to Turkey in 1998, Mr Cerrah was appointed General Manager of the company in Turkey and managed respectively Cominco, Teck Cominco and Teck companies. He contributed and managed discovery/development of many gold and base metal resources including Halilağa Cu-Au porphyry deposit, Ağıdagi, Kirazli, Demir, Tavsan, Tac, Çorak gold deposits, Hakkari zinc oxide deposits. He has also worked on many projects in Canada, particularly at Ontario, Saschatchwan, Manitoba, British Colombia, the North Pole (Polaris mine, Eclipse Project), South America and Africa. In 2011, Tayfun Cerrah began working at Teck Resources as a Assistant to Vice President Exploration at its headquarters in Vancouver, where he was responsible for Teck's global projects and strategy development. He returned to Turkey in 2013 after leaving Teck. In the same year, Mr. Cerrah started to work for Lundin Mining Company as Europe and Near East Business Development Director. He has worked in many projects in East Europe including acqusition of Cukaru Peki deposit in Serbia. In 2017, Mr. Cerrah founded Geo Cerr Madencilik after Lundin Mining decided to terminate its exploration efforts in Turkey and continued as an independent consultant by June, 2023. Since then, he has been with Ozifin as an Advising Manager for Turkey-based global enterprise program.
